Farm to Table Scavenger Hunt and Dinner
In November 2011, I staged a TEDxBoston adventure event to get people as close to the source of their food as possible, and to prepare and share it communally. Dozens of FoodSleuths gathered at Clover Harvard Square to bring together ingredients they had foraged locally to be transformed into fall soups by their communal labor, under the good humored guidance and skilled tutelage of Lucia Jazayeri and Rolando Robledo in the Clover kitchen.
We shared our foraging stories, were schooled in Heirloom Apple tasting by apple author extraordinaire Amy Traverso, and privy to the container farming secrets of Green City Growers founder Jessie Banhazl. Special thanks to my co-organizer C.A. Webb, and to John Werner, ueber catalyst of all TEDx Adventures.
